Steal me if you must

to keep my soul alive.

But when the fires bust,

Don't question where I arrive.

-

Darken my days with nights

If only for your love.

But when I beg for rights,

Don't question the skies above.

-

Be my every stall

If you breathe on my death.

And when I don't remember at all,

Don't question my lost breath.

-

Steal me if you feel,

If you cannot handle some goodbyes.

But when I cease to try to deal,

Don't question my submissive eyes.

    This is beautiful

  • Beautifully written. There is something nostalgic and Emily Dickinson about. Poignant and lovely both 💜c
