Stoicism in Daily Life
It's adapting to the necessity

Stoicism is a life philosophy
worth our attention.
It’s about accepting
what's beyond our control,
without complaints,
without being an emotional wreck.
So powerful, and deserving
of applying in daily life.
Because problems are inevitable,
but we dare not be
defeated by them.
I am ardent academic
a reader, and as a writer.
But I’m a mother
of small kids too.
My personal time is shrunken,
and often cluttered with noise.
I feel interrupted,
It makes me angry —
but I can’t go on like that,
so, I adapt.
When the kids are around,
I listen to inspiring music
and edit photos.
The photos are my muse
for writing later.
I keep my cerebral reading
and thoughtful writing
for the little solitude time
I finally get when they fall asleep.
It’s an adjustment —
but it works, as I carry on
without losing my calm.
It's a stoic mindset
to make the best of what you have got!

This one speaks truth! The art of not snapping when you could, but creating instead. That’s not just stoic—it’s heroic! ✨
