Garden Calmed the Baby

Garden improved mood of a nagging toddler

By Seema PatelPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

The toddler was sad.

I guess, he was overwhelmed.

He was nagging, bawling

making the weary parents

angry and triggered.

Parenting is exhausting.

We needed a relief

from this endless crying.

I took the baby

to the backayrd garden

and placed him near

the patch of nasturtiums.

It was magical —

the way he stopped,

and got himself engrossed

in checking the leaves,

listening to the birds.

The breeze was balm,

he turned calm.

His mood was no more foul

as if there is a,

harmony between

body, mind ad soul.

I saw evidence,

yet again,

that a garden

is indeed

a place of Zen.

Be it adult or kid,

we all are beneficiary

of this serene sanctuary.

Aww, so cute but babies are curious and likes colors of many hues and shades and the smells of the flowers would help sooth them as well. Good job, naturally.
