Still we march...Still we dream. Still we Bleed.
The free verse of life. Tattooed.
We have come a long way from stolen days
Of tears shed on ships in memory
Of Momma Africa.
Still we Bleed.
Women have come a long way from The Suffragettes
A march of bold women
Still we Bleed.
Men have come a long way from Tyranny
Chasing empires over tortured bodies of innocent
Strewn across the world
Still they Bleed...As new tyrants arise.
Humanity progresses and regresses
The Red of our lifeblood ebb and flow accordingly
Crimson tides beat against the shore
Shouting tales of those before.
We rise, we fall**etched in time's relentless expanse
Hands build empires, then let them slip
hopeful eyes darken, dreams eclipse.
Yet from the ashes, voices resonate
A new dawn beckons, arise, heed the bugle's call.
Blood-red rivers forge the way
marking price and cost we pay
Progress shines, then turns to dust
cycles bound by fate and trust.
Still we march, still we dream
Still we Bleed!
Laced within the ceaseless stream
Human hearts, still bold
paint the world in red.
Arising cleansed, we start anew...
Blood washed away. Rivers of water flow...unshackled!
UNCHAINED!

Gosh that was soooo powerful! Well done!
Yes, we may bleed, but we are only human and can do only what we know how to do to make our life and others better to. Good work.
And still we bleed.... Yep, I feel this rallying cry deeply & can easily see it emblazoned upon countless arms.
Powerful final lines that complete a strong message. Time moves slower for some things
I would definitely get a tattoo saying: Still we march, still we dream Still we Bleed! Wonder what image would pair nicely with it? Best of luck, Antoni!
Superb dear
This poem speaks volumes about how far we’ve come, but also how much pain still lingers. The line “Still we Bleed” is simple but says so much.
From the title to the end, it slaps!
