I am letting you go now.
Farewell to my twenties
and thirties.
Farewell to the Land that holds those memories,
which made me who I am
to some degree.
Moving on now
from the friends
and loved ones of those years.
There's a few true ones
I'm keeping
for our relationships to grow
into new dimensions.
Both babies, born there.
Became a mom,
a wife, a professional, a confident person
with wisdom...and experience.
Now my babies will grow up here,
a new home,
and they're ready for this.
We were happy there
with so much love,
but we're happy here,
with even more love.
Good-bye to overworking,
giving too much,
trying too hard,
holding onto old dreams.
Good-bye to always missing something,
not feeling enough
or fully satisfied.
I am letting you go.
Another layer,
another milestone.
Life is moving on
without bitterness.
Bittersweet indeed.
Good-bye especially
the the house my children
were babies in,
where we became a family.
We filled you with love,
but we're taking it with us to our new home,
Loads of Love and happiness here.
Welcoming--
Simplicity, ease,
healing,
laughs,
our family growing....
Closer, older, deeper.
Welcoming our new life
without expectation,
with openness,
we bring all of who we are
and all we have learned,
and with a beginner's heart,
we start anew.
Stepping onward to our dreams...
