Some see color as a gift
Some see color as a beauty
But I see color as a meaning,
Truly
But all of the colors have one thing repeated
The feeling of love, being greeted, and treated
But I never said love was only a good emotion
Love represents life ,the worst, too, in a slow motion
Now let me give you an example of what you might feel
Once your done with this poem, you‘ll know it’s real
Step 1 is pink, seeing love at first sight
The first minute of that moment you know you’ll be just right
Step 2 is blue having the courage to ask
“How ‘bout a date?” Just a simple task?!
Step 3, purple feeling a little dizzy
Your nervous that’s all, just take it easy
Step 4 would be red you know you’ve fallen in love
Blushing, staring, all of the above
Step 5 is yellow your getting closer and near
You see that path, it’s straight up and clear
Step 6 is black, fear of being humiliated
Discriminated, unappreciated, even unanticipated
Step 7 gonna be green you’ve both come clean
No more secrets in-between, No more scenes
Finally step 8 it’s going to be white
Living a happy life, a family? You might
All of the steps given to you just now
But these are all true, relate to the colors, somehow
Being someone young means I have a path I see
If I see all these steps in it, I won’t hesiate to flee
But also being young gives me time to enjoy and admire
The quote I rephrase too, is love/color spreads like wildfire!
