Step Outside
Whatever you do, don't hide. You'll miss it.

Whatever you do, don’t hide
If you’re hurting, scared, struggling
Don’t hide
If you’re awkward, you stutter, you have trouble shutting up… if you’re anything like me and happen to be all 3, still don’t hide
If you’ve lost yourself, or crossed yourself, made catastrophic mistakes, and can’t forgive yourself, don’t hide
That feeling of shame says your heart knows better
You crave more for life. You’re just not where you want to be YET
But even flowers that survive in the dark need love to grow
I’m telling you because I know
That pit of self-pity is just privacy for indulgence
You hate the thing you're hiding
The more it lingers, the more it shows
Isolation is a silent killer and gets you nice and slow
No one is left in your life, you haven’t left the house, yet it’s
GO GO GO GO
Your thoughts change fast like Amtrak.
The world follows pace, you haven’t gone anywhere
Stop hiding in fear
You get left behind
Don’t let it be another reason
Even if you’re alone, step outside
Where The Father sent the Son to shine on YOU
Stay for a while
Give yourself a season to be
To experience God’s glory
He works through people; you can feel Him through art
Like the sound of the wind when it brushes on your skin... Close your eyes and listen
And the blues in the sky ahhh …Have you seen them meet the ocean?
Like when the sick and cynical transform into vessels of life
How songs of a stranger’s soul can feel like it’s telling your story
How all things have rhythm, what that does to our hearts
Whatever you do, don’t hide
You don’t want to miss this
It's right outside waiting for you to embrace it all
