Blue sky greets this day
Steller’s jay dark blue tops tree
shrieks breaking the peace
Note: The Steller's is a favorite jay of mine with raucous shrieks like "shock, shock," head topped with black crest. The "corvid" family includes jays, ravens and crows - all very intelligent birds.

Well-wrought! And another great pic! He looks professional and official up there, like a royal guard!
Beautiful in words and image.
What a gorgeous photo and a wonderful haiku!
The STJA I cared for and presented for several years was my greatest teacher. Smart and peaceable.
Lol I had no idea they shriek. Loved your photo and poem!
So beautiful, Andrea! 💝🌟💘
I love a jay too. Don't see our British jay too often but it's a treat when you do and in Canada, I loved seeing a Blue Jay - in the trees, not holding a bat!
Wish we had more colourful birds here. This was a great Haiku tribute!
I love your haiku! Great work!
Beautifully done <3
