Overwhelmed or what ?

Don't feel like talking

or being around people

because what I know ,

knows no bounds ,

so I bind myself

restrain my mouth ,

and silence my mind

because sometimes happy thoughts are hard to find .

Tired of watching others

but it's not my time to play .

Waiting for my tower to fall

without my soul going astray .

Staying positive when you feel negative coming

is not an easy feat

I can't explain what others have yet to meet

I may sound crazy

but I know I'm not

So I'm putting all my coins in this gambling slot .

The idea of the light at the end of this darkness

is all I've got .

This risk is one that many fear --

feels like I've already lost it all --made my mind clear

Trying not to smear people with my thoughts

Many like to watch the driver from the rear --

front row seats so I gotta steer

Driving through time

swerving past fears and

parking in my success .

You may not know it yet

But I’m the best .

Sometimes I don’t know it either

So I pull positive affirmations from the ethers .

I can’t give up now —I’ve driven too far

All my old ways of thinking aren’t up to par

I’m a fucking star ,

I was born to shine bright .

Damn , all this driving to realize that I’ve always been the light .
