Staying
A meditation on pause, pressure, and choosing not to leave

People think progress is always loud.
A suitcase zipped, a resignation email sent at midnight,
a door slammed hard enough to sound like courage.
But there are moments when leaving is only a performance,
and staying requires a steadier nerve.
You stay when every voice urges movement,
when stillness feels like failure,
when the world calls patience a weakness.
You stay not because you are afraid,
but because you recognize the cost of one careless step.
You breathe.
You wait.
You let the danger pass on its own.
Sometimes staying still is the best option.
