Stay true to the journey!

Considering the landscape, barren, desolate, parched

as a river devoid of water, it’s throat abandoned by heaven, surely

there is no hope traveling forward, moving, at what cost?

What’s to be gained by enduring the wilderness territory?

Giants roam, bandits pillage, warriors

dying without a trace of hope.

The sunlight abusing wayward travelers without remorse, steering

the course of aspiring adventurers.

But wait! There’s something there, worthwhile! Home,

treasures limitless in value? So how will we fair? When cactus look like people,

When vultures scoff, sight doesn’t relay the truth, is it really worth going?

Does it make sense to travel onto the other side?
