Static Giant

Ease the breeze a poem of trees (my photos included)

Static giant standing tall — branch of algae, lichens and bark

Though your leaves may fall beneath, you are a silent guardian that speaks

Carbon dioxide you intake — to make climate change —cease not rage

Though I may be dust you give me breath — to live through my daily tasks at best

If I may drink — parasites and filth, you come to my rescue — purified my fill

Excuse me if I am… curious, what wisdom do thee keep?

Bristlecone pine, may have the answers to find — immortal divine

When your soul declines, just look outside — your static giant stands — in odd shapes and size

I walked under this tree out on another adventure, I gasped when I saw it. I couldn’t resist.

Do these trees have curves or what? 🤣

Tree hugging time 🤗

Ok! We've got more talents 🤩😃... Seriously, your photography is better than UnSplash pictures... That 'curves one' is funny tho! Your pictures made your poem double delicious 😍

Wow! Beautiful photos Caitlin, and excellent poetry. Like a love letter to nature, and trees specifically. Definitely makes me want to go for a hike. Do you happen to have any favorites in terms of trees? I did read and enjoy your Scarlet Siren of Sorrow, but the cemetery video wouldnt loud for me at the time. This is a good reminder for me to try again I think!

Aww! This is beautiful! Girl ✨ I love the way you’ve captured the tree as this wise, steady guardian, silently working wonders for us every day. You’ve given such a gentle yet powerful voice to something we often take for granted. The lines about the tree purifying and breathing life into us really hit me – it’s such a great reminder of everything nature gives without asking for anything in return. And the Bristlecone pine! The way you describe it as "immortal divine" feels so fitting for something that has weathered centuries. This is such a heartfelt tribute to the wisdom and strength of nature. Thank you for sharing this; it’s honestly inspiring!🤗❤️
