Starved For True Friendship

Finding a Friend for a Lifetime

By Rowan Finley Published 6 years ago 1 min read

It would seem that most have never experienced true,

authentic friendship, which is sad and disheartening.

Why has society tried to make close friendship between two men

seem weak or strange?

I think society is clearly the one who is deranged.

One of the reasons I will always love the story of Lord of the Rings,

is because of the strong elements of sincere friendship.

The friendship between Frodo and Sam.

The friendship between Frodo and Gandalf.

The friendship between Merry and Pippin.

The friendship between Gimli and Legolas.

And several others.

I believe that friendship eases the pains, trials, and tribulations of life.

So many are trying to suffer through their lives alone,

why not find solace in someone you can trust to walk with you,

through every valley, over every mountain, and through every storm?
