You are the one with the shadow

During the day, she and her son talked about how to start

a poem. She looks out the window

"You can always start by opening a window"

Looking out from where you're standing

What do you see and what do you ignore

Who is it that cries in the center of the light and flame, and who

Who straightened his back in the eye of the storm This moment, when we talk about windows again

How many eyes are silent and desperate in front of the window, how many eyes

once lit up a roaring fire, and slowly extinguished

Even the ashes are lost little by little. In the wind

And those that were once thought to be indestructible

windows that were once thought to be indestructible, but now

On the ruins, the remnants of snow silently

melting away, also consuming

a window. From the place where I am standing

and from the place where you are standing, looking out

There must be a different place. Don't believe me

Look, at this moment

You are the one with the shadow
