Departure to the Gurbantunggut Desert in December
To the pale snow
The silent Erezhi River
Birds flash by like pieces of paper
The snow is melting
The weather forecast says more snow is coming
It reminds me of the snow in 1979, and the truth is
I never saw the snow of that year
My father said, "When I was born, the snow was higher than the windows.
But I remember that I did see the snow that year.
Even the baby girl born in the snow
Just like the fate associated with snow
are inextricably linked to me
In the Gurbantunggut Desert
Three yellow sheep looked at us
Nine Mongolian wild asses look back at us, in the snow
They come like elves and leave like elves
As far as the eye can see, the snow
Wiping the earth as bright as ever
