Stars Can’t Shine Without Darkness
Light Is Nothing Without Struggle
They only see
the shimmer,
never the shadow
it had to survive.
They only admire
the glow,
not the void
that made it possible.
But I know
stars don’t rise
in daylight.
They’re born
when everything
goes dark.
I wasn’t different.
I had to learn
to glow
when no one
was watching.
When silence
choked my room,
when hope
left without knocking,
when I sat
with fists clenched
against nothing
I became
something more.
Pain was my night.
And I
was learning
to shine.
No one noticed
my cracks.
No one asked
why I walked
with eyes full of galaxies
and fists full of fire.
But every tear
was a constellation.
Every bruise
a reminder
that darkness
was not the end
it was the beginning.
So don’t curse
your midnight.
That’s where
you’re made.
Even stars
needed darkness
before they became
what the world
wishes upon.
