STARS

...

By T. LichtPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

used to believe the stars came from hearts of fireflies, carrying forgotten dreams to the G-d beneath the darkness,

perhaps a speck of pixie-dust glittering off an enchanted lash, awed at the mother of pearl moon.

but now, from the embers near the woods, i wonder why they lie scattered, like angry, rebuffing friends

or perhaps a thousand glaring eyes indifferent to the pain playing down here, deaf to the tunes of destructions.
