Starburst

A warmth of starburst, even at night

By Sarah LoydPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
painting by my sister, Elisabeth Loyd

I am happy today

Feeling optimistic

I am glass half full

No longer pessimistic

***

I saw a red flower

Sprouted in a barren tree

Spring is finally here

Here in Tennessee

***

The sun is going to shine

Create a burst of light

I feel a warmth of starburst

Even at night

***

Flowers may bloom

Seasons may change

But the hope of a better day

Will always stay the same

***

Just as long as there blossoms

The dark will be bright

Be happy today

Smile with delight
