if eyes are really windows

yours are made of painted glass

they illuminate me with a glance

the colors through me pass

-

enveloped in the shine I stare

at the mercy of your love

your pure intentions grant me peace

like a pair of passing doves

-

cathedral walls climb to the clouds

full of portraits awe-inspiring

none compare to the wonder in

the smile that you're hiding

-

it's never been more clear now

than in the light of day

you gleam of exquisite complexity

that solely I survey

-

and as I wander through the world

to find my purpose there

I am reminded in my soul that

it is one that we share.
