Stagnation

The stagnant air

Choked the attempted growth

Within the four walls,

A death sentence

Before blooms,

As the status quo

Remained in charge,

Listing off reasons

To fall behind-

And the followers wondered

When the day would come

Of a new sun,

But they never questioned

The steps to attain

The end they required.
