Stagnation
...the state of not flowing or moving
i’m not depressed
it’s not that at all
anger without agitation
and enthusiasm
like a party without coke
like a hot meat pie
with no pastry
everything i used to savour
has lost its appeal
lost its flavour
i’m not depressed
it has to be something else
i have seen fuzzy glimmers
both in and of parts of this
there is no feel
there is no spark
there is no real
it’s all so dark
i’m not depressed
not even state medicated
i’m just a bit messed
just for now
i will rise above
but not now, not just yet
i’m not depressed
merely cloaked in a sullen apathy
no forwards no backwards
and entirely of my choosing
no winning
no losing
no laughter
no tears
no joy
no misery
no hopes
no fears
i’m not depressed
just facing faceless facts
naming nameless nomenclature
an acceptance of unacceptable acts
all foundations eventually bear cracks
occluded and deluded
the games was rigged from the start
i’m not depressed
a slow adjustment to change
ripples endlessly
embracing and rejecting
a certain strangeness
no solutions just static dilutions
until eventually it’s all stomp
