slowly submerging sunflower

Subterranean slumbering seed,

summer's sunset sowed,

suddenly seeks sunlight

so slowly submerges.

Slight sprout springs,

seemingly simple,

so sorely susceptible.

Still,

sunbeam succours

so simple seedling starts,

stouthearted,

set skyward.

Soon, stunning sunflower shines.
