Addiction demands we stay negative

I will then work hard to stay positive

Feeling sorry for myself was my attitude

I changed to have an attitude of gratitude

This is something that works for me

Living a day at a time is new today

Conscious contact with Creator God this way

I was always in yesterday or tomorrow

And so many other beliefs I borrow

Live and let live is important to say

Easy does it, take it just for this day!

Listen, think, do not drink alcohol, take drugs

We can listen, think, not drink, we can prefer hugs

Pray, love, and no pressure, lecture, or bailouts

is what the hubby says when it comes to my shouts

I just want the solution for our children and grands

It is hard watching the struggle, all the grandstands.

We have the solution, doesn't mean they will

So, I need to learn to take a chill pill

A chill pill will help me to stay cool

I need not toss my serenity, I'm no fool!

Serenity happens from what we have done

Going to meetings, reading the big book Hon!

Provide service and put the plug in the jug

It can be a hassle at times, and I'm no slug

The We's have it and there is no doubt

that this is what it is all about!

Recovery is the answer for us!

You see, without it, there is no we, no us!

I just love my serenity and so will you one day

To manifest is better than no picture

Positivity is so much better than a lecture!
