Two voices live inside your chest
One never sleeps, one never rests.
You bounce from here to over there,
You vanish mid-sentence, mid-air.
You joke, you charm, you tell the tale,
Your silver tongue will never fail.
But underneath, a mirror cracked
Too many selves to keep intact.
A breeze that whispers, shifts, and veers,
You bottle joy, then spill your fears.
You want to know, to name, to feel
Yet dodge the part that’s raw and real.
But who can match that mind of yours?
You find new paths, you open doors.
A chaos born of radiant light
Too fast to catch, too bright for night.
About the Creator
E. C. Mira
I’m a poet at heart, always chasing the quiet moments and turning them into words. Most of what I write is poetry, but every now and then inspiration pulls me in new directions.
