Spellbound Breakfast
She stirred my coffee,
And turned the sugar into frogs,
They hopped across the table,
Ribbits punctuated the morning air.
I laughed through a curse,
She winked and disappeared,
The toast was still alive,
And I was late for life.
The eggs rolled like moons,
The bacon hissed secrets,
I tried to run,
The kettle followed me laughing.
I poured the tea,
It rippled with her face,
I blinked, the room shifted,
And I forgot what day it was.
The floor hummed beneath my shoes,
The walls whispered of yesterday,
I tripped over a spoon,
And found magic under the rug.
I spun in dizzy circles,
The frying pan chased my shadow,
Laughter filled every corner,
And I could not stop grinning.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
