Spell

We are all spellcasters, seeking, speaking, and weaving the spells that wind around our lives.

By Benjamin Lopez BarbaPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

There are spells that are older than wisdom and time,

That linger on tongues thicker than wine.

There are spells that are older than even their words,

That were felt and were fought long before they were heard.

There are spells that are carried through deepest of nights,

That endured desert sands and snow’s coldest white.

Yet one spell glows stronger than lead turned to gold,

A treasure that burns like a fire to hold.

There’s a spell that I know but know not how to craft.

It is love, it is love, it is love that I cast!
