You are a beautiful soul, full of innocence and compassion. You look for the good in everyone, and you provide comfort to your fellow residents there.
You don't know how old you are , but at the end of the day does it really matter? (Ana said you're 84) You're always on the move even if it's in a wheelchair, and that keeps you young.
You don't let anything get you down. That is beautiful in itself. Can't walk? No problem. You'll go zipping by in your wheelchair. You know the menu in the dining room each day, and you eat everything on your plate.
You are so loved. The "rehab" bought you the cutlery made just for Parkinson's sufferers so that you can eat without assistance and you've never complained about the physical ailments that try to interfere with your joy. And you bring joy to everyone around you.
You love God. You know the hymns that we sing by heart, and even when you don't you try to sing along anyway. You remember everyone with us that you meet, and ask about them when we come in. You're a Navy veteran. Thank you for your service.
We're going to enjoy the time we have with you, Speedy, because it's precious borrowed time for all of us.
Speedy Rodriguez.
The indomitable spirit.
