Eyes that see
the unseen
ears that hear
a silent voice
songs that sing
Life over you
while you sleep
while you work
while you weep
while you search
for answers
for strength
lips that speak
Life over you
while you turn
while you shrink
while you yearn
while you sink
from the weight
of the heavy
eyes wide open
ears listening
spirit discerning
spoken prayers
speak Life over you
in the face of the enemy
who has an unclean
spirit for every affliction
Fear, Doubt, Depression,
Oppression, Unworthiness
Unforgiveness, Jealousy
a never-ending list that
is used exhaustively
in the world
The Sword in my left hand
The Shield in my right hand
They speak Life over me
as I speak Life
over you
in the quiet
in the chaos
my eyes see
my ears hear
my lips speak
my heart beats
through but one
Spirit
the Spirit of God.
and I'm not the only one
pouring out at
the altar
pleading your case.
Amen.
