Speak the words

How could I ever?

Speak the words

You say

Break your silence

Still the anger

Dare to voice

Those hidden thoughts

But have you stopped to wonder

The harm those words might do

To me to you

The shame the blame

Cursing our future

Our evermore

For one brief moment's

Relief

Release from the pain

Of silence

Ah, the age old question, when is it best to speak the truth and when is it best to stay silent? But you said it so much prettier than I did. Nicely written.

    Nice entry! Good luck.

  • Yes, it might feel so good at the time, but at what cost? Would the consequences be worth it? Hmmm. Loved your poem!
