Sparrow, oh Sparrow

Where did you go?

I haven’t seen you since two days ago…

You squawked and you cawed and you cried for days

Black Sparrow, oh Sparrow,

why did you go away?

You sat on the point of the roof up high

Perched to the front so that I’d see you cry

Sparrow, oh Sparrow

Why did you go away?

I haven’t seen you for two days…

Black Sparrow, I miss your sweet company

Now I am lonesome, as lonesome can be

Sparrow, oh Sparrow

Where did you go?

I haven’t seen you since two days ago…
