Far Away in Distance, Close To My Heart

By Brittany 🩷Published 4 months ago • 1 min read

I told her that I'd see her

Though I just didn't know when

I said I won't let much time pass

But then, it happened again

Another year has gone away

without you in my sight

It's misery, it's lonesome

it fills me up with spite

I told her that I missed her

But it just hurt my mouth

These days all I do is lothe

Moving so far south

It's painful and it lingers

I'm happy then i'm sad

I was hopeful maybe someday

It wouldn't feel this bad

I miss her tonight

Sure, I'll miss her tomorrow

Still, I'm many states away

Swiping through her photos

One day, we will reunite

And I won't feel this pain

Until the day will come once more

And she will leave again.
