Skin the color of a chocolate bar with the voice of a deep south twang. I get looks, even laughs and sometimes questions like, “Girl where you from?", but I’m used to it; It really aint no thang.

In my small-town world, it blends in with the others, but the city life; Not so much. It use to embarrass me when I traveled from here to there, but now; Not so much.

My relocation out of the small-town living is soon to come but I hope my accent stays. Stays with me wherever I go. It’s different. I like it that way.
