How can 2 souls connect,

when the physical plane lies?

Lies in disconnect,

bodies lost in retrospect,

beyond the hidden realms.

Where are we now?

Who are we now,

in this earthly realm?

Who are we really?

Are we here, really?

In this tangible realm?

Do you remember me?

Why can’t you see?

See beyond the veil of time?

I remember you,

and can’t get through.

Can’t you see you’re mine?

I slowly dim the space between.

It fades away now, when you speak from there,

even when you scream.

My body can’t hold your love in vain,

my human heart can’t take the pain.

Although, my soul can’t resist when your passion persists,

beyond the spoken realms.

In the silence my body still feels your lust, your flame.

Is it only for your gain?

The desire takes over and betrays my heart.

I knew it from the start.

It takes the hit,

for one more hit.

It must learn to get over,

knowing that our souls connect,

but you give me the cold shoulder.

Is this just a lesson?

A lesson to know my worth?

A final test before rebirth?

To remember who I am?

To stand alone in acceptance of a divine plan?

Even when our lifetimes together are not enough for now,

Is that enough for now?

The rejection still hurts,

but baby, just maybe there’s worth,

in the dances in the flames.

In the aftermath of ashes, and the Phoenix rising from the pain.

The dances when the sun, earth, and moon align,

and we see beyond this space and time.

Maybe we’ll meet when it’s over.

Maybe you’ll hold me then, and give me your heart, soul, and shoulder.

Maybe the fire will burn wild, engulf the veil, and truth will take over.
