The Stories of Jaseerah

By Jasira (Jah-Se-ruh) Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Do something with the pain that haunts you. Sometimes all it takes it waiting it out... sitting with what torments you. I decided I am important and these days I can't write about the pain in a way that comforts. But I can unpack it, I can be honest here.

I found myself with a lilac candle, connecting with myself and realized I found the lighter days I stopped believing in. I found some love tucked away waiting for me to find it. Funny thing it was addressed to me, from me.

Too often you find yourself alone with dark, uncertain possibility; truth is me too. If you can't believe we're all one then believe we share the same pain, scattered pieces of the same story.

The darkest journeys are the hardest to navigate but if you travel to the pain, the open wound will let some light in and right next to your trauma you'll find true purpose.

Sit with yourself, in silence. When it's hurting more than usual, when the world has blocked you out, silenced you and made you feel forgotten.. just sit with yourself. And when the pain gets the loudest, breaking through the darkness of your silence, that's when you listen.
