Sorry ain't enough

for my cousin who passed away...

I’m sorry.

I'm sorry for not reaching out,

I’m sorry you were hurting.

I’m sorry that losing you brought me back.

You were doing so good,

Your young life finally looking up,

Sparks in your eyes.

But saying sorry isn’t good enough,

It isn't enough.

It won’t bring you back.

But...

I’m sorry you were drawn to the Devil F,

Of being so far from home.

I’m sorry you might have been scared.

I’m sorry I wasn’t there.

I’m sorry.

Devil F took you away from us,

A curse on the familial disease.

I’m sorry that Heaven called you home.

I’m sorry that you are watching your boys from above.

But sorry ain’t enough.

No amount will bring you back down to us.

I’m sorry, my nimisenh,

And now you are dancing in the sky above us.

No amount of sorry will ever be enough.

But I can say this my nimisenh,

I will always love and remember you.

Until we meet again.
