For when this soul may feel so much as love,

I form this text to sing a want so soft,

That all my life, like the wing of the dove,

Will beat so fast, it's only seen so oft.

-

I see you now, and my life is but none,

For now, my mind, in it is only you,

To me, you are the moon, the stars, the sun,

The dawn, a grey sky bred with rosy hue.

-

This life will want to call you back, my dear,

As true as if the sun may rise once more,

So take my hand and take away my fear,

To find, deep in my core, this love so pure.

-

And if you come with me, we may just fly,

And life will but us, just you and I.
