Sonnet #7

Moon

By ChampionElCidPublished about a year ago 1 min read

The evening star is full of mystery

Never showing its true form but twice

When not a glow it's often hard to see

With brilliant light that shines brighter than ice

Sometimes you see its form when it is new

Or maybe you can only see its crest

And rarely ever will you see it blue

It always turns and never stands at rest

Much like you, and your many varied sides

Some see only parts of the complete moon

They see your skin, your hair, your mouth, your eyes

I see you all, I wish to make you swoon

For like the moon which draws from other light

I draw from you and you make me more bright
