Song for the Beloved

a simple love poem, for anyone, for everyone

Ni zaagi,

When I am with you, I feel like I am floating.

Our bond makes we want to drift into the stars,

Just to pluck one to give to you.

Your heart that i love so dearly,

For it is as vibrant as our earthly beacon: the Sun.

And your smile,

As changing yet continuously beautiful

As the blinking Moon.

Ni zaagi’.

Without your embrace, your glow of life,

I feel the world has gone bleak.

Without your smile,

All joy fades into the ether.

Without your kindess,

The sky grows dark with turmoil.

And yet,

I cannot bear to not bask in your beauty,

Bathe in the sunlight that is your life.

It hurts to love one so divine and celestial

As yourself.

It is agony, just to watch you dance among falling leaves,

With the scent of autumn wafting onto your hair,

A seasonal perfume.

I long to waltz under your moonlight gaze,

Share the sway and ebb of your tears,

The majestic vastness of sea.

Give this love crazy heart of mine

A single glance.

Let me see your smile,

Let me kiss your lips of silk and petal.

Let me hold you in my arms,

Absorbing your illustrious warmth.

Because,

To me,

You are zaagi’.

You are life.
