Strange things happen
If you stop to look around
Pay attention to the people
Who are lost, amongst the crowd
Each soul is busy striving
Through the challenges of life
Unaware the soul beside them
Could have the answers to their strife
The complexities of paths that cross
Are overwhelming for the mind
Every detail just as intricate
As the ones standing by their side
One would never presume to think
About the stranger by their side
His problems just as deep as theirs
The answers they might find
The business of life consumes us
Time passing makes us blind
We may not know the friend that never was
Or the advice we left behind
But life is funny that way
Our choices vast and many
Never knowing the truth of others
With problems at the plenty
We continue on with sonder
Our faith strong in our will
To choose which way our fate will head
Our lives we shall fulfill
But take heed, the next man knows
The heaviness of heart and mind
And if nothing else, remember
It costs nothing to be kind
So take the time to stop and breath
Make sure to look around
Although ignorance can be bliss
Life is quite profound
