Son with a Gun

Bravery

By Rachael StoreyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Imagine having to run,

Have they won?

The bombs that go off,

A daily occurrence, the cough,

The cough of smoke,

Everyone around you, all your folk,

Frightened to leave the house,

As the terrorists walk as quiet as a mouse,

They walk wherever, whenever,

They are in charge, they think they can change the weather,

They don’t know or care about you,

Your son, he knows what he needs to do,

He knows he needs to protect families,

He will be the saver, the Hercules,

Your son has a gun,

He knows what needs to be done.

The scared faces of the town,

As he steps up, he deserves a crown,

The tears of anger

He sees the commander,

Stood in one spot,

The pistol is shot.
