Somewhere Under the Rainbow 🌈
Tales of Advocacy and Adventurous Outreach

Somewhere under the rainbow where light fails to shine...
Somewhere where the pain goes; hide it all inside.
Maybe somewhere under a rock,
There’s a whole colony livin’.
Somewhere there’s a whole block,
Where his grace needs to be given.
Somewhere under the rainbow where the kids don’t know how to sing...
Somewhere there’s some Jane does nobody seems to see.
Somewhere under the rainbow seems to never get mentioned.
“Keep your head up”
What about the ones that needed to get in?
Or get out
from underneath.
Color coordinated rescue-ops.
Designing missions pretty neat
“Oh, what a pretty seat-“
“Awe, that’s a nice title!”
“How do you get that position???”
It’s not time to Drop the Mic, bro.
I might go-
Straight savage
On anybody who degrades people with baggage.
On everybody who has disrespected this planet
That our kids are brought up in.
Disrespected these humans-
Lacking whats left of real integrity
and dignity, behind a counter.
Enough is
Enough;
And you are
Free to
Express yourself,
And strut your stuff
No principalities I’m consuming.
You are doomed if
You live everyday
Without empathy and compassion.
For the ones who have to get up everyday
Feeling the need to mask it
All.
And if you are among people and get paycheck
I hope when I see you, you are really
Doing your job.
With a good attitude,
Full of gratitude,
And not caught
Or seen
Without passion
For the real reason
Why you need to be on guard
And caring on the clock;
Not letting that time
Just pass you by...
Misbehaving and complaining-
Too many
People wish they had your job-
So appreciate it.
What’s an abbreviation for
The deviation of disguise?
I’m not asking you to hide
What you really feel;
But for the sake
Of our God and our experience,
Why don’t you
Really feel grateful?
Why is a ‘position of authority’
Something we all feel so hateful towards, at times?
Like we don’t all carry a whole
Plate full?
Protect and serve.
Why
Do some
Try to squeeze between the lines,
And hide
The truth?
Show Us all that we can trust in the same God
Not just you.
I want to back the blue.
I love all the colors.
I’m not Dorathy;
But my shiny red crown might
Come with authority.
By faith,
So does my yellow one.
I was prayin’ and waitin’ to even say hello to my son;
And “look at these giants we defeated-“
“We finally beat it!”
“I hope I made you proud-
And I hope you know
You can
Reach out
To me,
Without a doubt.”
Protected by his blood,
The pressures not so loud.
“Look how we plowed...”
Thanking God for the cloud,
That brought all the color
That we now talk about.
Receiving by faith
Is entrusting along the way;
Even when times don’t feel so great,
Or, so safe,
Or, so pleasant
Or, so fair...
But knowing Jesus
Knows all of our thoughts
And our cares;
And knowing he’s seen us
At our best,
Or our worst.
He still says we’re blessed,
Never cursed.
Broken once and for all.
Makin’ the most out of any ‘down falls’
-Like our brother Paul-
And holding on to Grace to cover us all.
