Something she has yet to find.

A place her heart could call home.

By Jordan ZunigaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Pitter, patter, drop the rain,

Storms to come, shed the pain,

Constant turmoil, so distraught,

Shedding sorrow, all that he had wrought,

Take and tear, to despair,

Downcast spirit, without a care,

Constant thunder, to the beat,

Every moment they eyes would meet,

Heart to flutter, no surprise,

The constant sound of lies.

So such times can surely be,

Where love is taken and yearns to be free,

In the moments where the future is not clear,

And the days are so dark and drear.

Though I wander, though I roam,

I'd like a place my heart could call home,

Where my love could their reside,

In his arms, I could confide,

Clouds to scatter, cease the hail,

Sun to shatter, the greyest veil,

Curtain to rise, then to steer,

The light makes the future all the clear,

As I gaze upon the light, inspiration stirs desire,

Despite the constant pain, my love will burn like fire,

For the man that I want, will make me then believe,

That home is not a building, but where the heart can then perceive,

This what I want it to be,

That's what home is to me...
