Something Good in Every Day

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Verse 1

Woke up to a sky that couldn’t decide

Between silver rain and golden light

Coffee’s cold, the news is loud

But the sparrow sang from the chimney crown

Pre-Chorus

It’s easy to miss the quiet bloom

When the world feels like a crowded room

Chorus

Not every day is good, I know

But there’s something good in every day

A whisper in the wind, a kindness shown

A memory that won’t fade away

So I gather up the little things

Like fallen leaves and songs that stay

Not every day is good, but still

There’s something good in every day

Verse 2

The garden’s bare, the vines are dry

But I found a grape beneath the sky

A letter came from a friend I’d lost

And the cat curled up like nothing’s wrong

Pre-Chorus

The light breaks through in crooked lines

But even shadows have their time

Chorus

Not every day is good, I know

But there’s something good in every day

A laugh that lingers, a door held wide

A stranger’s smile along the way

So I gather up the little things

Like fallen leaves and songs that stay

Not every day is good, but still

There’s something good in every day

Bridge

Some days I walk with heavy feet

But grace is found in small repeats

A breath, a pause, a prayer, a flame

The quiet ways we rise again

Final Chorus

Not every day is good, I know

But there’s something good in every day

A thread of hope, a gentle hand

A truth that doesn’t drift away

So I gather up the little things

Like fallen leaves and songs that stay

Not every day is good, but still

There’s something good in every day
