someday i will realise
that hope is fragile
it can cause the burn inside your soul
but resilience
sparked from kindness
is what heals
soothes
and fights every part of that burn
it is friendship that will save us all...
that is what we all seek within ourselves
a mask worthy of kindness
of love
when the truth is something so brittle
fading harshly with each heartbeat...
it is friendship that will restore our soul
the kindness in our world will give our eyes something to live for
our minds something to believe in
and our smiles their own bright, twinkling purpose.
oh how i hope for the world to be kind.

piercing winter gloom camellia blooms softly such a lovely sight. In winter, in the arboretum and the yards in our region, camellias blooms. Camellia is a tea family plant with lovely flowers. In Japan, camellias have been painted very frequently. Here is one by me (watercolor).
