something along those lines

a poem about fairness

something along those lines

What is important to me may

not be equally significant to you

but how come you have all

the power

and I have to do all the work?

Sometime along last night I know,

you think you know,

what is best for all of us but you

did not see me trying to toil

it all out while the others slept before

the plane can fly off again

Tell me now, tell me straight

don’t let me guess and pretend that

it’s something along those lines.

You have already built your wall

fair and square

red or blue

so prepare for fight,

bloodshed and fallen soldiers

just like how I am bleeding

even when I am standing by the side

because you shot me

when you draw this line

only after I crossed it

surreal poetry
