Someone She Never Really Knew

a poem inspired by romance

By Solomon WalkerPublished about a year ago 1 min read
she never knew by Solomon

She was a trusting soul, pure and kind,

But a con artist came and played with her mind.

He spun tales of riches and fame,

And she fell for his lies, like a moth to a flame.

He promised her the world, and she believed,

Blinded by his charm, she was easily deceived.

He took her money, her heart, and her trust,

Leaving her broken, in the dust.

She cried and she wept, for what she had lost,

Her innocence shattered, her dreams now tossed.

But she learned a lesson, hard and true,

To never trust a con artist, no matter what they do.

Now she walks with caution, her eyes wide open,

No longer a victim, no longer broken.

She stands tall, with a heart of steel,

Ready to face the world, and all that it may reveal.
