Some Will Never Learn

Consequences

Wrapped in the illusion of cause and effect

Lost in the Surreptitiousness

Stolen moments were spent

Aghast at the notion

It went as far as it went

A silent drop in the ocean

As the moon gently wept

His smile broadened deeply

The lines around his mouth formed

As he kissed her

He noticed she had completely transformed

Transcended from Heaven

this angel before him

A surrendered safe haven

A one way ticket to sin

But like ice, his intentions to stop

Were unyielding

And as the other shoe dropped

Her innocence, there for stealing

Too late now for him to take it all back

Her tattered dress soon revealing

Bracing for the impact

While the voice inside him was screaming

Tis the tale of desire

Without thought of consequences

Lusts the true definition of fire

Greener grass, neighbors fences

Quite the love poem of an affair that went bad. Whatever happened it was thought out relationship.
