Some People Are Not Helpable

It's sad to see them drown, but they don't take the raft

Some people are not helpable,

she is my relative

I know she has struggles,

financially, among others.

I live far away,

plus nobody can give others.

They can only share ways,

to earn for themselves.

Her son is sick.

I told her to share,

like people do in Instagram.

it feels less lonely,

you can learn too.

No response.

I told her to start write

her thoughts and feelings,

on online platforms —

Medium, Vocal Media, Substack.

No initiative.

She has body itching.

I might have answer,

I said,

it might be due to diabetes,

and being in menopause.

No desire to learn.

What can a person do?

I realized —

not every body is helpable.

Drowing in woe ocean,

some of us hold onto straw

given to us —

not all can be pulled out easily,

they have to find their path,

the hard way.
