You see,
it is a bit of a riddle to me,
that the most beautiful people in this world,
feel they need to change,
or rearrange,
themselves.
Makeover, markup,
diets, fads, shifting shape or body carve up,
yes, the most beautiful people in this world,
think they need to chase perfection,
but do they spend any time for reflection,
or take a pause?

I can relate to this and remembered something while reading!
So true. And the worst thing is, after the change, many of these beautiful people look ugly. I kind of prefer their original looks than the latter. We all need to be confident in ourselves. We are all unique. Thanks for sharing this Rowan!
Sometimes , when we’re rejected and not sure why, we start questioning the cause. I’m sure we go down a checklist of our flaws to see which one ,or ones,, it is. Plastic surgery and fake things exist because it’s so common. What one man discards, another man is praying for so at the end of the day even the ugly duckling finds a mate.
I felt this one. How often have I dwelled on imperfections rather than embrace the physical wonders and beauty of body and mind
I think everyone is insecure to some extent in one way or another. Loved your poem!
Yes, totally agree. So pity.
Well said!✅ I like the way you used ‘riddle’ in the title and poem!🤩
Too much truth!
