Away From Colony

I thoroughly delight in the way it feels to crawl across sunflowers.

For hours and hours on end, I pace back and forth and feel at home, away from the colony.

The life the others live just doesn’t give me the same pleasure that they seem to be so comfortable with.

They talk and talk.

They march and march.

Following orders.

Following curfews.

Following the queens every whim.

Every day is all the same for them.

I’ll survive and thrive in the seclusion of my imagination, on the eye of this flower high.

Free spirit.

Free heart.

Being alone takes bravery.
